This unique 3d sculpture features "left-handed" and "right-handed" folded diamonds to generate large petals in the center of the star. The back side of the star reveals a different pattern entirely. These stars mimic the natural "handedness" that occurs in our bodies when enzymes construct proteins. Except in our bodies, only right-handed enzymes work as planned – left-handed ones are ignored.
